Valentines Day

I know. I know. I'm super late on posting about Valentines Day, but I am going to anyways! It's my blog and I can do what I want with it!

My first real Valentines day.... it was so much fun! All I knew was that I was going to North Vancouver for the evening and that I should be warm but dressy. Little did I know that I was going up Grouse Mountain! William knew that I had never been up there and we still have plans to hike the grind this summer, but he wanted to do something more romantic than a hike. :)

We had dinner up in the Observatory restaurant and I've never eaten like that in my life. It was a set tasting menu for the evening. Our meal consisted of fresh bread, shallot soup, beet salad, Ahi Tuna, seared tenderloin, shortrib ravioli, a pear & calvados compote, and Thomas Haas chocolates. The food not only tasted amazing but it looked incredible. I have never seen food plated in such a way. Art. Each plate was a work of art. You don't want to ruin it but yet you want to try it so bad! Quite the predicament.

Here are some pictures of the evening.
