My nose

So, I've had a lovely cold since Tuesday, and only yesterday did I find a solution to the nasal problem I've been having. Do you realize that people actually blow their noses less when they are able to sniff it back at regular intervals? Gross I know, but we are all sniffers.... lol. Sitting in class yesterday, I refused to be the annoying one that sniffles through the entire class and never gets a kleenex. BUT the problem arises, that if you don't sniff it back you go through an entire box of kleenex per class! I was virtually a faucet for my 2 hour class yesterday morning and then my 3 hour class last night. I went through a minimun of 2 1/2 boxes of kleenex yesterday.......half a tree! Intriguing eh???

Well......when I got home my mom called and suggested that I try this rinse thing. I had just finished reading a Reader's Digest story about this guy whose heart stopped for an hour in the hospital, and I thought my heart would stop if I did anything 'unnatural' to the sinus cavities in my head. But apparently it is worth it. And I didn't die. It's the weirdest feeling because you wonder where the heck all the water that you are squeezing up your nose is going, but then it eventually comes out and you can breath through clean sinuses again. AMAZING. I honestly said my prayers before I squeezed that little bottle though. But in the end, it cleaned my cavities out so well, that I breathed clearly all night long and slept wonderfully.

I am definitely thankful for the little things.

Please explain little sister....what exactly did you do to your nose....and what exactly did you insert??? Like did you take a kitchen glass cup and fill it with kitchen tap water and then tilt your head back and pour??

You're really funny! That was really amusing to read, so thanks for writing it.
