What's going on anyway?

Well, school has ended.....its actually over! I have said good-bye to the three wonderful kids that I had the privilege of working with all year. I have only to go into Abby Christian for 7 more hours this week and then I have fulfilled my contract obligations. It's all a little bit strange to me, because I can still so vividly remember what it felt like to begin in September, and to struggle with trying to understand how those three kids understood the world and the people in it. Now its a bit of a sad thing because instead of the kids avoiding me because they know that I am a face to show that they are different, they wanted to do things with me. It's much easier to leave something when you feel unwanted, but its harder when you know that you have impacted their lives and know that they actually like you and have chosen in recent months to do things with you. Yeah, I'm gonna miss those three.

I have some things to look forward to as well though. I get to be involved in a beautiful wedding on July 2nd.....my cousin Ben and my good friend Melissa are getting married!! I am really excited to be able to dress up and share that day with them because it is obvious to the world that they are perfect together. I then start teaching english on July 9th for 3 weeks (till July 27), 5 hours/day, 5 days a week. This is something that I have been doing for the last few months, but this is different because it is an intensive 3 week course for the kids (and me!!). This will be my challenge this summer because I feel inadequate in a lot of ways. Grammar is not my forte!

While I teach English I will also be tutoring 6 hours /week, which will continue until January.....with a lovely 3 1/2 week break at the end of August when I drive to Ontario to pick up my little sister. I will be visiting some friends and family in Calgary and Edmonton, then perhaps grabbing a tag-a-long friend Jane to come with me to Ontario. Picking up Kat on the 26th, we will book it to Winnipeg to see sister Jenn and hubbie Dan, then race home to start school on September 4th.

Sweet eh? Ah yes, driving through the night...it shall be an adventure. Yet it is one that I am completely thrilled about and hugely anticipating. What can I say? I love driving!

Anyway.....that is the low-down on life as it is currently being and will be lived. :) Plus there is always the potential of a trip to Barnabas, Thetis, perhaps some kayaking and some camping thrown in there too. Whooo hooooo a real summer! Why not fill it up?

Sher,
Depends on when your there. We have a pretty tight time slot that is not flexible at all. We can't leave Ontario until the 27th, and we'll only be in Winnipeg for 2 days before we have to book it out here again to be here by the 3rd. If that fits your schedule and you are traveling very light, then yes that could possibly work darling!!

okay well It fits my scedule, but i have to see how much shipping is for my luggage...so I will let you know if I actually save by travelling with you or if its better if I fly. I am shooting Kristens wedding on the 25th that is why I am there. i am going straight from here to a wedding in Toronto on the 10th and then I will head to winnipeg right after and hang out there till the other wedding, so I will look into shipping and get back to you. Is it Just you and Kat? I am just wondering cause I am wondering how much gas and stuff will be. Are you looking to stop over for a night to sleep in alberta, you can feel free to crash at my dads if I am with you or not. He lives right off the number one so its not out of the way at all.
Anyways whatever happens I look forward to seeing you. I am staying in Surrey for the month of September and then I am thinking of staying on the lower mainland...not sure if in abby or not yet, ...love you.
