C- C- C- Camping! Yeah.

I went camping this last weekend.....and it was fabulous! Camping has changed a lot since I last went (a very long time ago....many moons)....a propane fireplace, clean washrooms, steak for dinner! Its not that I don't remember what it used to be like, its that it has changed so much that this is all new to me. What's more, I didn't even get burnt and I spent tons of time on a beach! I had never been to Harrison Hot Springs before this weekend, and I will definitely go again. It was beautiful!

While on the beach, Candace had a fabulous idea to help the family next to us. We built their baby a little 'baby pool' in the sand, out of sand, right next to the lake. The little guy seemed pretty content to sit in there....and he was no longer attempting drowning via face plants in the lake.

Lunch on the sidewalk was the classiest part of the weekend. I had fun with that one. :)

We went kayaking after that for a little over an hour. We each rented our own and off we went in the direction of the river. It was so refreshing and relaxing just being out on the water again. That area really is gorgeous......yeow, the view heading back to the docks was breathtaking. Lovely, lovely. I kinda wish we had the time to rent for half a day. There's always next time.

Mmmm, steak dinner.....well for most of us anyway. A few of the guys brought some nasty looking chicken burgers which apparently looked normal when they were frozen. Yeah. Well I enjoyed my steak and the veggie-kebabs, and the ice cream that we later got in town before we went swimming in the hot springs. Yes that is right. YOU CAN SWIM IN THE HOT SPRING WATER IN HARRISON. There is a pool right next to the beach that is fed directly with water from the hot springs. Candace and I took her cousin there for an hour to have some fun and to do some swimming.

Then one of the best parts of the weekend happened! I was able to sleep! Whooo hooo! I hadn't really slept all week, but Saturday night I slept like I was dead, all the way till 9:30. So sweet, so fabulous, so wonderful. Ahhh sleep.

I went to the beach for another few hours on Sunday, to read and write to sister Kat.....and what do you know, it was beautiful again! Another day of around 28* with full sunshine and a lovely cool breeze.

Finally, I made the trek to the little stand that was selling the hazelnuts and the jam looking stuff. Oooo, it was actually Honey and Strawberries, and its soooo good! I've had it for breakie and dinner already today.

Ok, there's another finally.....Candace and I made the trip home attempting for part of the way to find a 'Shake It' song or something like that, which we never found until we stopped looking for it.

Oh don't you all want to go to Harrison now? Go Go Go! But one thing, you have to take me with you when you do. :)
