Blessed

So isn't it interesting that one person can have a terrible horrible no good very bad day, one day, then the next can be fabulous? Or someone can have a great thing happen to them while a friend just had the worst thing happen to them. Weird.

It kind of makes life a bit bitter sweet at times.....I think. Just a few weeks ago I was a bit worried about finances and trying to buy a decent car in the next few months. Well, yesterday I got a lovely giftcard in the mail and today I was observing at the Korean School that I will be teaching 5 hours a week at and I met this guy that dropped another opportunity in my lap. As of next Wednesday I will be tutoring 3 Korean children as well! So yes, I have 3 jobs now, but yet every evening is still my own and the latest I work is till 6:30 one night a week. Buying a car will no longer a problem.....amazing.

Yet in the same day, I arrive at work (Abby Christian) and find out that the co-worker that I work closely with is 'sick' with who knows what and will be away for 1-2-3 weeks - who knows how long. Work is just not the same without her, for me and for the kids we work with. She is a well loved lady, and so deserving. She wouldn't say so, but she definitely is.

So I get blessings in the mail, and jobs dropped in my lap, and government checks at just the right time......and yet my friend is going through a bit of a nightmare.

Bittersweet alright. This life is so hard to understand.
